The Role:

As the Facilities & Workplace Solutions Coordinator, you are responsible for coordinating information related to the facilities infrastructure (facility acquisition/ tenant improvements/terminations, furniture, and equipment) for CLBC, asset management and tracking, tracking of all financial information related to facilities and asset management and the preparation of approval documents and reports relating to facilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Manager, Facilities & Workplace Solutions in the preparation of 1 year and 5-year Capital plans
  • Coordinating facilities requirements for offices across the province, working closely with operational managers and teams
  • Coordinating the purchasing, acquisition and disposal of furniture, office equipment and vehicles for all CLBC office facilities across the province
  • Assisting with activities relating to the CLBC business continuity and disaster recovery plan for Facilities and Workplace Solutions
  • Preparing reports including the annual Carbon Neutral Action report for the Climate Action Secretariat of the BC Government and financial reports in support of Treasury Board submissions
  • Implementing policies and procedures for the acquisition, management, and disposal of CLBC office accommodation, assets, and facilities
  • Preparing security risk assessments, developing office security plans, investigating security issues and recommending measures to reduce security risks
  • Conducting site visits; ensuring facilities plans and projects comply with safety, security, and environmental standards; assessing to ensure risks are minimized and priorities aligned with CLBC and government strategic directions


  • Diploma related to Facilities Management or related discipline or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of community living service, CLBC policies and operations and sector agencies and organizations connected to CLBC is an asset and preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Facilities Management within a large complex, environment required
  • Experience in a public sector organization preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Travel and Flexibility: Frequent travel to external meetings, building site visits, office visits, etc. is required, including regular overnight travel within the province. Use of own vehicle on expenses. Possession of a Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract is required.

Utilizing a hybrid working model, this position combines on-site office work with work-from-home flexibility.
